1959 Triumph TR3A
I have owned this TR3A for over 15 years. Purchased in 1992. I would describe this car as a very nice, very solid driver. It is not a show car by any means, but there is no rust or no damage anywhere and pretty much everything works. I have listed on the Restoration page all of the repairs, new parts, etc., that have been done. I have also put some pictures on the Photo page.
I am selling my TR3 because it has been sitting in the garage lately(a typical garage queen) and I believe a new owner could probably get a lot of appreciation and enjoyment out of it.
What is right with it: It runs very nicely. It looks great. Typical of the TR3, this is a reliable, classic sports car.
What is wrong with it: I have not hooked up the horn since I installed a new steering wheel control head (could not find the right wiring). It has a top, but it has been folded up in the trunk for years. It does not have side curtains because it has never been driven in the rain.
The only other thing is that I just do not get to drive it as much as I should. I may take it out once every month or two for a trip around the neigborhood. As a matter of fact, one receipt from some initial work done in 1992 shows 79,287 miles on the odometer, and it now shows 79,731. Over 15 years, this is about 30-40 miles a year that I have put on my car.
